{"id":269,"date":"2011-10-17T05:31:26","date_gmt":"2011-10-17T05:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qdigitizing.com\/blog\/?p=269"},"modified":"2011-10-17T13:51:01","modified_gmt":"2011-10-17T13:51:01","slug":"important-update-for-melco-design-shop-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qdigitizing.com\/blog\/important-update-for-melco-design-shop-users\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Update for Melco Design Shop Users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Everybody&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I hope all of you had a great summer and are looking\u00a0forward to\u00a0a busy holiday season.\u00a0 Here at Qdigitizing.com things are great and once again I would like to thank\u00a0each of you for your continued support of our products and services.\u00a0 We are gearing up for what we are certain will be a phenomenal end to an already great year.<\/p>\n<p>Todays blog is specific to\u00a0an important\u00a0 sub-set of\u00a0 our customer base.\u00a0 For those of you working\u00a0with Melco Design Shop software this blog is very important.\u00a0\u00a0Please review this carefully as you need to be aware of an important change and how it impacts our ability to\u00a0service your accounts most efficiently.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->First of all it is very important for each of you to know which version of Design Shop you are running.\u00a0 To do this open your software and click on the HELP menu bar selection and then choose &#8220;About Design Shop.&#8221;\u00a0 A window will appear with your Version and Revision number.\u00a0 In the example below I am running Design Shop Pro + Version 9, Revision 00.099.\u00a0 Up until very recently this was the most current version of Melco software.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qdigitizing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/m9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-270\" title=\"m9\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qdigitizing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/m9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"459\" height=\"536\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, Melco has just released Version 9.00.101 and there are importnat implications for many of you.\u00a0 In this newest version customers using Design Shop Version 6 and Version 7 will need to tell us when you palce your orders which version of Design Shop you are using.\u00a0 There are some features in Design 9.00.101 that are not compatible with Version 6 and 7.\u00a0 If we program a design for you using version 9.00.101 all of your Object Elements will be colorized properly and look like OFM files but the stitches will be expanded instead of wire frame objects.\u00a0 Some of you might not care, but for those of you who do&#8230;it is very important for you to understand this change.\u00a0 We can still provide you the files you love and are familiar with but you will need to tell us the version of Melco Software you are working with.\u00a0 I know I am being redundant but this is very important.<\/p>\n<p>When you place your orders be it on our web site or through email you MUST LET US KNOW if you are still using an older version of Design Shop Software.\u00a0 If you are usng an oder version we will also use one of our older systems to program your design\u00a0so you are not impacted by this change.\u00a0 If you want, you can also email us proactively and we will annotate your account settings to default to a specifc version of Melco software.<\/p>\n<p>Melco is recommending that custmers using older versions of software contact them to upgrade to version 9.00.101.\u00a0\u00a0The price to do this will vary dependng on the level of software and a particular feature set you might\u00a0be working with\u00a0but if I can offer any advice it is this.\u00a0 The new version of\u00a0Design Shop\u00a0software\u00a0has many desireable features\u00a0\u00a0and even though the older versions\u00a0are great, the new stuff is even better.\u00a0 If you are currently working in version 6 or 7 and you do a lot of programming or editing you will appreciate the features in the new software.<\/p>\n<p>For our part Qdigitzing will continue to support the older versions as long as we have customers using the software.\u00a0 However, please understand it will be up to you to communicate with us as to your version requirements.\u00a0 Once a design has been digitized in 9.00.101 we cannot go backwards in version.\u00a0 Because of this we hope you will understand why it is critically important that moving forward you let us know your Melco Software version.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you have any question please do not hesitate to call.\u00a0 This is\u00a0a &#8220;Steve&#8221;
