It humbles us to know we have earned your trust and we look forward to working with you in 2015.

Qdigitizing will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day but otherwise we will be open with live support during our normal business hours. The Customer Service department can be contacted by email at service@qdigitizing.com or our toll free number, 877-733-4390 throughout the festive period…

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and a very Happy New Year!

For the past couple of months I have shown several samples and explained why the images are not good candidates for embroidery. I am going to continue this theme for one more month because I have received a great deal of feedback and several requests to provide more information on this topic. Last night QDigitizing had to put more than 20 orders on hold because the art we received was not suitable to the embroidery process as requested. We wish we did not have to do this because it delays the order process for everyone but sometimes (unfortunately with relative frequency) we cannot program designs as requested. My hope is that by presenting these examples I can help all of you when you are out in the field better understand the limitations of the medium.

For the most part the problems revolve around 4 areas:
1. Too many letters in too small a place
2. Artistic features that work great in print (blends, high level of fine detail) nut not in embroidery
3. Art that is to low resolution or too out of focus to use.
4. and 4A. Corrupted art files and Vector files where the fonts are not converted to curves.

<a embroidery. The main problem is the level of detail in the grass and dandelions. The customer has also asked for borders on the lettering. While this can be accomplished they cannot have the soft, faded look as shown in the art. This design can be programmed and I think it can be done well but the end user should be made aware the design will need to be modified to work well for the embroidery medium.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" themselves. So, in this example if the small letters are moved below the design and then stretched to the full width this could be made to fit a 4” size.

For these two images the art is simply too low resolution and out of focus for us to program from. Since the designs are such low resolution if we try and make the pictures bigger the problem only gets worse. The larger we go, the more pixelated the images become and the more difficult it is to program these designs. Unfortunately, as presented these designs cannot be programmed.

Many times we receive files that will not open. IF that happens this is the message you will get >>>> Corruption of your image occurred during the transfer on our website, would you please resend the image in .jpg format by email to order@qdigitizing.com and reference this order number. Sometimes designs become corrupt during transfer. When this happens we cannot retrieve the image. Unfortunately in those instances we need to request a new copy of the file.

We get this error a lot. “Your vector image opens with a font error.” It is OK to send vector files but if you do make sure to convert all fonts to curves. Better yet, save the image as a JPEG and send as a 300dpi raster image. IF your design opens with a font error we have no way of knowing what font to replace with. This error is a total showstopper. IF there is a font error we have to put the order on hold.

Next month I will go through one more set of designs. Between then and now I wish all of you the best Holiday Season and I look forward to working with you again in
